Does anyone know what's up with the long springs and no collar on the shock body?

It’s to get the ride height lower. You can do that with the grey springs and the 1m lower retainers, that’s the perfect height. You can also leave the stock retainers and the collars on and put on the purples and that’s also the perfect height. In both situations, you might have to cut a little of the ball cup that hold the retainer to get it a little lower.

Does anyone have a diagram on how a stick pack assembles together??? I'm perty sure how it is, but havn't done one before, only side-by-sides. It would help greatly, thanks much.

Anyone here tried the delrin gears?
http://www.rcmart.com/catalog/produc...ducts_id=14567

Do they have the same ratio than stock? Those ball diff pulley looks nice and thin. :D

Turbonium 05-01-2006 08:41 PM

i have used those gears in the past, work pretty well. it does keep the same ratio, but i think the teeth are a little finer pitch, plus the diff gears are thinner. obviously not legal for TCS, but a decent product...

How come the first half of the post is capitalized correctly, but the lower half has only one capital? Where'd you copy the first half from? LOL

You missed a spring too... Sliver is in-between Yellow and Blue.

What I was more wondering, and should of asked this in the first place, is why use the long springs with no adjustability, when you could run the short springs and get the same ride height WITH adjustability? I mean, ONE specific ride height won't work the best, EVERYwhere you go. Why limit one of the few adjustable components of the car?

Basically, are Tamiya's short White springs the same rate as Tamiya's long White springs? Just different length's...? I think that's the case... Not 100% sure though.

There is about 10 springs missing from this.
What about the long and shory red, yellow, and blue springs thatwere mainly used back in the TA02 TA03 days?

Not sure if they are accurate. Got them from the tb evoIII thread a long time ago. I think they were calculated by a jap engineer or something.
