It's a fun car to drive, that's for sure. Very different from all the current TCs out there too!

Give us a call anytime at the shop (626.237.0807), especially if you're set on what car and components you want so we can have it all ready for ya!

Look forward to meeting an old customer of Steve's
Ok! Its going take a while to secure funding because i will need everthing. After being out of the loop the TA06 appeared to look like just another Touring car. When I took a closer look, wow direct drive and single belt to the front, thats thinking out side the box! : )

Just showing an updated pic of the weight distribution after moving the speedo to the stock location and my quest for 50/50 weight distribution. The wiring is a pain in the butt however it is the weight is much better this way. I wish they made the steering reversible so you could flip the speedo and servo without having to mod anything.

Rear = 711.2g - 54%
Front = 606.4g - 46%
------------------
1317.6g

Yes you'll have plenty of room to mesh but you'll need to check your fdr before hand. I'm running carpet track and I'm trying to grab a 4.0 fdr or close to it. I did change spur gears yesterday to a 92spur and stayed with the 50 pinion and I had enough room to back it off and mesh it properly. Ran fast and I got first so I couldn't complain.

Because this car has slightly more weight in the rear do you find you are using a heavier spring in the rear versus the front ???

Not necessarily, I was running GT2 at the TCS race last weekend. I ended up with a set of ultra hard Tamiya springs on the front. Without them it was very loose off power. We'll see what happens Wednesday when it's back to my VTA setup.

I've actually gone back to more of a kit style setup, 40wt all around and the stock medium springs all around. The spool makes it a blast to drive, although I'm not sure of makes it the fastest car in the bunch.

Other than providing a low profile, I don't see the advantage of running the shocks cantilevered. Maybe a lower CG? If the cantilevered configurations was so great, why didn't Tamiy employ them on the 416 or 417? Upright would make making the bias toward the front a lot easier.

Given that I still may use the cantilevered set up just to be able to run the low profile Tamiya NSX body.

Ive used the NSX before. it make a big difference!

Default Unstable at high speed

Hi guys!

Just bought the pro kit and when I am at full throttle , the car tends to slowly veer to the side. Any way to increase stability at high speeds? Steering trim and the works are all set right.

I assume you are using the Tamiya reccomended esc/transmitter location? If so, Im assuming youre pulling to the left on acceleration. I noticed that on mine when I didn't balance out the front.

the rear tucks when accel more than any other tc ive ever driven. the servos weight seems to be causing it, when I used a lighter servo, it was less noticable.

Your car sounds very tweaked. My car doesn't do any of that stuff

Another thing might be different length shock and shock oil
I would check these first
There once I drove a whole day until the mains and was shocked to find one was oil-less. Haha pun intended

Are you running IFS? if so, maybe the pushrod length is off. Those have to be spot on for both sides, or else the car does some weird stuff....

3 racing and r spec both make an aluminum ff03 gear. Since I replaced the plastic one, my gears have stayed in tact!
