THE BUILD !!!!
Well guys, here we start. I have included pics, some just showing parts others showing the assemblies after being built and then installed in the chassis. Not all of them are on here yet and I am not going to stay up all night posting, just getting too damn old!!
I started with how the kit comes packaged, and it does come well packaged. After familiarizing myself with the manual and the parts the first thing I did was to remove any flash (not much)from the plastic pieces for the pulleys. I glued one up with super glue
( it's just a side plate for belt alignment) and the other with 3M contact cement, I prefer the contact cement for this procedure, though either will work. I built these and set them aside. I then built the ball diff and had a pleasant surprise when I found that I did'nt have to mess with those tiny thrust balls inside the diff, they were alraedy assembled. When building the pulley for the front make sure you watch the lettering on the end of the one way cases. one has the lettering on the out-side and the other is inside. I then istalled the alloy pieces onto the main chassis and installed the drive train. it is amiazing how free this system is. It just goes to show the quality of the fit of these parts(Kawada used to manufacture for others like Tamiya). Up to this point the pictures which are well illustrated and the english that is shown with each picture made this an easy build . I will add more tomorrow!

just for looks
orange or?

these?
purple. The reason I ask is we are going to be anodizing parts in the following colors to match the wheels. We will have anodizing in red, flourescent green, flourescent yellow, purple and orange. This will be true anodizing and NOT using rit dyes.

One last item !
We will be offering ceramic bearing sets for the Kawada kits. I also offer bearings with rubber and teflon seals, just ask.

Good Going Bob,
The anodising is a great thing. Do you know yet what the extra cost will be???
Anybody out there want to take my Xray off my hands???? I just bought a used Kawada Alcyon and I'm impressed enough to try another Kawada.
Hey Macky........Maybe you can help because it's obvious you buy cars 2-3 at a time!!!!!!! LOL You must have an extra!!!!?? LOL

Rims !
Kawada did NOT supply the rims shown, I did just to show a couple of the colors that we will have shortly to match the anodizing. You get whiye Kawada rims with the kit. Did'nt mean to imply that these came with the kit. By the way, these are not Speedmind rims, they import them from Kowloon just like we do. They just relabel as others do. By the way , have you guys been to the site lately, lots of parts are listed and 34 more will be this week. Go to the parts page, the Sigma page also has a lot of nice big well detailed pics.

anodizing and pics
The answer to the anodizing is, I'm not sure on the pricing yet. We just received our materials and I am picking up the acid that I need on Tuesday. We assembled all the tanks and anode materials, have the heat source and paid our insurance. I will show some Kawada parts that we do and you can judge from there on the quality of our work. Well, back to loading some pics from the build, sigh !!!!
