Just about every shaft car will have problems with the gears running a spool or a one way..Especially when you hit stuff..as far as the pro4 being an inferior car..In the stock class it's as fast as anything out their..still..19 and mod I have never liked my pro4 (). I have not really had any problems with my pro4..I have been running it for over 2 years now, When I had my carpet track I ran it 4 to 5 times a week and never really had any breakage problems. I always boil my gear sets, always shim the diffs, always use Associated diff screws..floodo1 has seen my pro4 run and he will back me up on this one..It was very fast on the carpet, I was just as fast as the RDX'S and the Xrays..I won more often than not. If you guys are looking floodo1 has a well taken care of and very fast pro4..I'm sure he would deal..

what do u think is better pro 4 or a cyclone ? i have a pro4 and i love but im not sure if i should retire it. keeps up with the x-rays at my local track
anyone answer my question? do you just use the associated diff screw no problem? no mods or anything?

From memory, the diff screw is part of a kit which includes everything you need. It's not like HPI where each part is available separately.

The Pro 4 is harder to drive and setup but if you are a good enough driver it is my opinion that the drive is more efficient and the power is more direct.
In 19T I would go for cyclone mainly because i prefer the spool at that level and the spool will kill the drive train of the pro 4.

sure would be cool to see the Pro4 converted to a 4wd buggy/truck...

I agree with most of the opinions on the pro4..It's a great stock class racer, it's very tunable with parts from HPI (most parts have been discontinued..but you can still find them) You have 3 different top decks and 3 different chassis to tune from. The pro4 is very tunable and very fast, Just an opinion but the drive train of the pro4 is one of the freest i have seen. I still think that the pro4 is not outdated, When I race the pro4 is not the "item" that holds me back..I have quite a few TC's and to be honest about it I'm within a few 1/10's a lap with any of my cars, for me the pro4 suits my driving style the best..in stock, for mod and 19 I like a belt car the best.

From what I understand yes, you can still get the A arms and hubs and most of the driveline stuff but stuff like the chassis and top deck, diff cases..etc. will be hard to find down the road..From what I understand the pro4 has been discontinued..(quite awhile ago) yes even the Hara.

Roll out includes the tyre diameter so you dont have to inlude that :P
The best rollout is also dependent on the motor there are a couple of different ones, ive heard the grey one you gear 2 teeth less than the silver can.
It is also dependent on driving style and more importantly track size, the bigger the track generally the bigger the rollout.
I would start around start around the 40/42mm rollout mark
