Default WHAT does this part do

I have a road runner Xpress and i got some spare parts in a little box. One that caught my eye was a FRONT BELT BEARING IDLER

Where would something like this be fitted on the car

The thread with the pics of the car is http://www.radiocontrolzone.com/foru...t=mystery+part

Thankx

If I remember right it's basicly a front belt tentioner I thing it goes somewhere on the chassis just in front of the bateries but behind the servo.

IT is a belt tensioner.It mounts on the top chassis plate left side just ahead of the batteries.

Where it mounts is not in your pics.It mounts right above where the speedo sits.

Default WHAT does this part do

tl01 1989;

Again, send a PM to mb-racer if you need help. He's the MAN.

Also your belt should NOT be tight, loose without skipping or rubbing on the chassis is the correct tension.

The part in question mounts on the left side of the top deck about in the middle. It used to keep a little tension on the middle belt. There are several Xpress PROs around here and we just do not use this part. We feel that it is unecessary and we have had no problems running the car without this part.

Hope this helps.
