Any chance of a lipo class like has been added to the offroad nats? 20min main, now were talking.

FYI at the 24hr endurance race we were running 16 to 18 minutes with a mild mod BL setup and a 4800 lipo on the old track layout. That was an awesome event, but not for the faint of heart. Most Monster I have ever drank.! The boys at SIR put on a good show, have a great facility and the track is located in a very nice area.

I do not see any sponsors on the entry form?

Not with this one.... we are expecting capacity of entrys, as typical with this event.

I do hope to see you in ABQ though!!

Dawn,

Thank you for the personal contact offline. That all makes perfect sense in terms of numbers and time. The onroad nationals is expected to sell out and has a tight schedule. The offroad Nats might need an attendence boost and has 4 days to fit it in.

However, I do not understand Roars position on the sponsors and think that merits public discussion. They have taken control of the race management to assure a quality event, but no one is managing the promotion. That is only half the equation. Unless someone also manages the promotion who will be there for the well run event?

We are struggling for a reason to sponsor anymore ROAR events. The last few have provided questionable return for the sponsors.

There needs to be standards in promotion as well instead of leaving it up to the tracks. Good use of the live coverage is the future and allows us to get the exposure we need to justify the expense. At the very least the title sponsors should be on the entry form and all information.

Live coverage has incredible potential for the sponsors to reach the right target audience while they are fired up about racing and dreaming of their own national championships!

We were truly spoiled by the first ROAR nationals we sponsored. My hat is off to Ruben, Javier and the boys for putting on such a fantastic event.

Not to mention, SIR is temperature controlled.

Not to hot, not too cold.
JUST RIGHT...

Hope nobody decides they dont want to run this event now. SIR does have a slightly smaller track than what PIR had to offer, but SIR is also a VERY nice facility. Clean, bright, air conditioned, etc etc etc.

I was wondering if the tire traction compounds will be controlled or limited to certian types? As the facility is indoors and I don't see any type of ventalition in the pics.

Perhaps this discussion deserves its own thread. It certainly deserves to be discussed in a public format that includes the members.

The only traction compound that we really don't use is Paragon Ground Effects

Be sure and let them know your racing @ Seattle Indoor Raceway
Just called them, they said the AAA rate I got is the same as the discount rate, but the person answering the phone sounded a little "short busish" to me ....did they tell you the rate that they would be offering?

I got the room for $98.00 per night July 06 & 07 then apparantly the room rates go up so $143.00 per night July 08 thru July 16th

there are two big roll up doors one at each "end" of the track, the first is to the right of the drivers stand and is painted to match the walls thats why you probably missed it, the other door is behind where the pits are. the track has a vent system, air conditioning and heat.

as far as 1/12 scale tires purple/pink is what most use, some have used double purple/double pink, brian from slapmaster runs theres so he will be of more help then me, also local hotshoe dan garber is amazing with a 1/12 so he can help also.

i know the tire question might have been vague, as far as pit space, i think when its pack you get like 18" - 24" but don't hold me to that. i usually just spread out during club races so i never measured.
