An undergeared motor will rarely if ever get very, very hot. It may get warm but not hot.

Smaller pinion to gear down.

The Tamiya 70 is .4 module and the 105 is .6 module, these are incompatible. These are NOT 48 and 64 pitch.

I'm fairly sure its other way around, the 105t is .4, the 70t would be .6 i guess, never used the 70t spur.

The stock gearing for the T05s is 70/22, i think, in the .4 gears the same ratio would be 105/33. (7.16 ratio). In either case you should be able to much lower, I think?

The Tamiya .6's do not seem to be campatible with any other metrics out there.

You're probably right about me flipping the module #s.

I swap out those gears with 64 pitch like right away. Using a Novak 13.5 I use an 88/44 for an FDR of 4.5.

A quick question for you all.

If i add spacers to the rockers on the IFS front suspension (As per manual page 12) does it make the suspension harder or softer?

Thanks

It's the equivalent of standing the shock up, so it would be a harder setting.

HPI just came out with a range of .6 module gears for their E10 chassis. They offer a larger pinions than Tamiya, up to a 35 tooth i believe. Tamiya offers smaller pinions though for the low turn motors.

I was hoping someone would be able to help me out. What would be good final drive ratio to start with when using a 7 turn mod (Brushed) in an IFS?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Try an 8 to start and adjust from there.

I looked on page 12 of the ta05 ifs instruction manual, and read about the the spacers on the fulcrums for the front suspension.
My question is do the spacers go in the push rod side or the shock mount side?
