Yeah, it's like PT Barnum said "there's a sucker born every minute". Who knew he raced RC...or that LRP would build their business model around his quote.

Exclamation

BTW...LRP has a lot of reliable products....

However, when seing this thread, it is really strange with LRP... here in Germany everything is tip top with that company, availability, service....everything really works wery well...

very strange what LRP is doing over there in the US...

Seems like they have a job at hands to get their services up to the same level in the US as here in Germany....

Add me to this list of LRP Sphere 07, tc spec packing in. It managed 7 laps when coming on to the straight, it just stopped. The car needs a push and its off again for a while until any low throttle input and it stops again. It is flashing red and yellow in the mode led. I was using a checkpoint 19 turn motor but when i got home, i tested it with my brushless motor and got the same result.

P.S. The Uk importer has also told me the 2 week story!

I have LRP brushless speedos 3 of them, 2x sphere, and 1x sphere comp. One sphere newer open because they make so stupid product that you can't use old ESC with new motors so you must buy new esc every 6 months. But not any more! I was so stupid buying LRP stuf for big bucks! Now if they can create best esc ever i will not buy it because they rip me of few times.
Like quantum c2 comercial with ESC working diped in water......after first rain i blow up 2 of them......stupid company!

Personally I was driving with Novak for a long time, but I had al lot of problems with the speedo's and when I tried to send them back I took months before I received them back. I started racing with Nosram last year (as a customer). And during the euro's I had a problem with my speedo, so I went to a technician of LRP who was there to check on all the motors, he looked at my speedo fixed it in no time, and he gave me another motor, because mine wasn't fast enough. Also when there are problems with you Nosram or LRP electronics, even when it was your own fault. (In example racing in the rain with the ESC's that weren't waterproof yet). You'd get a new one very fast with just a little extra costs. (F.E. I shortcircuited my Nosram Dominator Power (LRP Quantum) a couple of years ago. I sent it back. And less than 2 weeks later I had a new Dom. Power. The costs were 15 euros for sending it to them and back.

There are not that much problems with the service. It also depends on your own retailer, how long it takes for him to send a broken ESC to the manufacturer.

Default Euro CS

Euro CS for LRP is very different over the pond, it seems that LRP treats the European racers much better.

Over here in the states it just plain sucks, not even worth dealing with.

I'm not sure how Novak is distributed overseas but I expect a delay with Euro CS, might go thru a different process. Over in the States Novak CS is the bomb.

Well, I'm from Belgium, turned it in in Germany and it still took LRP 2 months to check my Sphere.
But I have to be fair, they didnt bill me, didnt have to pay a single €...

Its the same for European racers, the american companies are very lax with it unless they have a distributor in the country, which many dont

Man - I would HOPE they wouldn't charge...
I mean, keeping it for two months, might as well charge them rent!

What takes 2 freaking months? Most *SMART* places would have a repaired stash to exchange. I think, if they want to gain a good market share here, they will have to have more than just a distribution presence under the ASSociated umbrella. They need a service center *HERE*, not on the dang moon.
