Well.. First I wanna say.. I hope everyone is OK .... I had family in NYC at the time, an They are OK.... I realize that everone on this board is not from the US... but this kind of tragedy ihas a worldwide impact.....

TFR....

We got them at our local hobby shop and they can't keep them on the shelves. We are currently figuring out how to get everyone together and do some racin'.

I got the Skyline kit today. Looks really sweet. I thinnk I'm going to use a Hitec mini servo instead of the regular servo. Anybody know of a nice good mini ESC that's not too expensive? The GM V4 is only $55

The Micro is a bitchen little car....had mine about a week and a half now, with some modifications....

Quantum Competition (I know its overkill, but it's small, light, and free!!!! )
Phaser Receiver
Airtronics 145 mini servo (out of my 1/12 scale)
Custom 6 cell 600mah pack built from a plane receiver pack.

the 6 cell made a HUGE difference. Car is at LEAST triple the speed of 4 cell alkalines. Run time took a major hit...maybe 10 minutes. Not too bad for lots of speed. I've run it at SoCal Raceway and I'm actually pretty impressed on how it works.

Like alot of you, looking for the mod motor. I have 2 more 600mah cells I may try connecting to it tonite.

I got my skyline yesterday and had it built in 2.5 hours, Like all the above said, the ball diff will be a hot seller and the front one-way. These cars are the neatest thing to hit RC in a while. I have drove the mini-z and this car is 100 times better out of the box than the mini-z. Will this be the new class indoors this year???? I think so.

I've had my micro for about a week now and this thing is one of the most durable cars I've had so far. A co-worker and I even played bumper cars with them.

And there is a section on the HPI site that shows ya how to build a 5 cell pack.

Is the MiniZ really not as good as the Micro...

cuz when i think about it...Why not buy a Touring than the micro since they are like the same except for size...

Well, i thin ki still like the 1/24th right now...since there is like so much body for it and the 1/24 model kit bodyies also fits too...

TFR.... of course that is my opionion..... Sure the Mini Z is good for something.... but for running small scale racing.. I would prefer the Micro.....

But the whole idea of the Micro.. is it's scale....
