fai,

yes, those are the grey color teflon ones. That's the same ones I use in my car. You can also drill the stock ones for the holes to be bigger.

I usually build my shocks so that when I compress the shock shaft in, it rebounds about 1/4 of the inch back out. This shouldn't be a very fast motion, but a smooth and fluid one. If it rebounds fast and all the way out, I think there is too much pressure in the shocks.

This is something I am going to try with the Sorex 36R & thin yok insert which normaly has too much understeer for me, but then I have been building the shox with little to no packing (piston stays in) I know with the HPI Green inserts that when the shox pump up a bit (piston all the way ouy) the car lacks grip in the rear.
What a sensitive adjustment this is on the CUDA

Thanks Steve! You know, I really heard many many ways of setting these air-mixture type dampers: some said they should pop-out completly, some said no-no... My experience is that if we keep pressure inside these dampers, they wouldn't last too long: before the 1st run, they pop-out completly, after the 1st run, they came out 3/4 inch, after the 2nd run, they came out 1/2 inch... So, this will really mess out our setting!!
So, I think your way should the most proper way!

Ahhh been a while since I last posted but rest assured the Cuda is still in my hands

Will be taking a long drive tommorow to practice on the track where our state titles will be held in a few weeks:

Some pics for those who would like to see how we race down under:

http://www.imagefile.net/TFTRWebsite...p?TOPIC_ID=204

Its the biggest track I've seen to date here. Looks like its time to gear for some max top end speed.

Will be trying 6.2 to 6.4 on the old Monster stock motor. Should be seeing some really fast cars tommorow.

fai,

No problem. I'm not sure if my way is the perfect way, but my shocks when they are done in this process, they stay consistent until they get dirty around the shock bottoms then the rebound is reduced a bit.

redbull, madjack,

guess what!!?!! I found a small tube of that super grease. Now if we really hurry on Tuesday, we can try it out

by the way, interesting signature reading...was all that based on a true story???

CUDA WINS at So-Cal !
Finally after weeks of testing it was coming, just a matter of when. Well with the help of the new "Rubber Diff" it was time the CUDA took that final step to the top of the podium

I am so stoked on this car right now....

Thanks for all the assistance Steve & Madjack.

I think now its "Our Time"

TQ, and win 19T spec class.

Nice work David,

I'll assume you will be posting a set-up sheet in the near future?
