Yeah that Rascal looked like it would handle like a dog on a frozen pond. Only rear wheel drive and it keep spinning out. Boo. As for the HPI Baja, they did a horrible job of driving it. Very sluggish on the track and what's with driving it in grass that's ankle deep? It did nothing but slow it down. Suspension should have been hardened too.

As for the A main, good coverage I think. They should have had a small second window of the entire field so u can watch all the racers to see what happens behind the front 3. I was expecting to see more of on road cars being displayed. Oh well, maybe next time.

What ever happened to that show that Tamiya/T2M had out on motors tv?

Errrm the guy driving the Baja is no slouch so maybe it just doesnt handle/jump? The Rascal isnt really designed for tarmac so i'm not suprised it was spinning at Snetterton.

The Baja must have a de-tuned or un-tuned engine, as my cynical brain tells me that HPI wouldn't sell a fully tuned version, but keep tuning option for buying later. And it is a fair weight to be carted about by a little 2stroke engine.

What the shots didn't show, was that the ground was quite wet when the Rascal was running - both on the grass and the Tarmac. I think had it have been dry it would have looked fairly good.

The Rascal handles fine - we were deliberately spinning it as it makes a better camera shot - fun vehicles aren't supposed to run on rails like a TC - so we wanted visually exciting pictures - we've got loads of footage on the "floor of the edit suite" of it just going round really- really quickly but doing nothing "interesting".

The Baja was very quick but I don't think our camera angles always did it justice (we were learning as well).

Can't argue with that but it will be sorted in the next few days!

Producing the show has been the priority!

Rick

You feature a lot more in episode 2 - if you can bear to watch the second "a" main again
