Some basic information is needed here:

When is the election ?

Does ROAR mail us a ballot ? If not, how do we vote ?

Who else is running for President ?

Do you support the idea of supplying the race director with Mt. Dew ?

You have to download the ballot from ROAR website:

http://www.roarracing.com/

...all others running are on there.

There is actually a lot of great discussion in here, making it worthy of a sticky for a few days at least, I think.
Interesting that this thread was made into a sticky. I do not see as much talk here as the one Carl has. I wonder why that thread was not made into a sticky. And That this is in the onroad thread. And not the racing thread.

But you are the owner of this site. So you can do what you want with it.

Just as in a presidential election or what have you, do people come and knock on your door and ask you why you have a certain candidates sign in your lawn? Odds are no

LOL Maybe this is shane's way of backing his favorite candidate with a sticky LOL

Eddie O - You got my vote and the majority vote here in South Fla... The ideas and opinions you have expressed seem to be on par with what ROAR needs and has been needing. Best of luck to all candidates...

EddieO,
I agree mostly with what you have presented. I would love to see someone in office that will make some changes that are critical with the future of the organization. Roar doesn't seem to care much about trying to turn the organization around by changing the things that are hindering it the most. I would think that a person that is involved in the hobby from a sucessful business standpoint would be a good thing. In fact, I think ErnieP would probably done a better job than what anyone else has done in recent years. If the Roar could get more support from the manufacturers then i think it would open more doors for the future.

People that have concerns that EddieO is only going to look out for electric racers I think are over looking that this is where the main focus of the roar rule book itself. I run both nitro and electric, and I think that nitro is much easier to set and enforce rules for.

I think you're on the right track and as you said it's not about one man, but the thoughts of many, getting the members more involved and aware, and setting the right person on top of it all to get these new ideas and concepts out in the open to be discussed and debated.

Good Luck!

Rob

Eddie has my vote. It would be great to have a ROAR president that has a clue.

From reading this thread, I think I understand that if the Excom stays the same, how can Eddie or any other president make the much needed major changes? Eddie's thoughts about the regional races actually meaning something to get a racer to the next level DOES bring me back to the late 80's and early 90's! You have my support! My only worry is that with the current president/excom body we may not get a real new direction that I believe we truely need. Good Luck Eddie.
