Broke my T2R Chassis and Top Deck :(
Well, the title says it all...Except for how it happened. I am almost ashamed to admit how careless I was, but I figure maybe someone will read this and just maybe, they wont make the same dumb mistake.
I use a M11 with Spektrum Pro module. I have 4 main cars programmed on it.The other 26 memory slots are empty and unbound. Last night I was driving my T2R after a servo change and it was pulling to the left just a little. So I was going to adjust the subtrim, just like I had done on my other T2 a fe minutes earlier. Only problem was I forgot to change the menu to subtrim, it was on model select. Once I hit the button to add some subtrim (or so I though), it actually changed to model select 5, which had no info. The car took off at full throttle , with no way to control it. It hit head on to the curb and trashed my car.
So the moral of the story is. Always make sure you are in the correct radio mode.

Same situation happend to a friend of mine at IIC last year, except this was at the start of his main. He gridded the car and looked at his radio realized he had the wrong profile and went to select another. I guess he paused for an instant on one that had full throttle dialed in it and his car went full speed into the pipe. Broke a hub carrier as well as some other stuff. Everyone in the crowd thought someone turned their radio on on the same frequency but it was his mistake. It pays to pay attention to such things before it becomes a costly mistake.

Yep, Sounds just like what mine did. It was awful not being able to regain control. I can promise, I WILL NOT ever make that mistake again. Costly lesson, but leasson learned.

yea Shookie. that would have been worse. I had to replace one of the tires the other day because something gashed the sidewall. 508.00 for one stinking tire. THe one that gashed only had 6500 miles on it too

i had a somthing just like that happen sunday. i was running my mini cooper then i went back to my pit. i pulled out my 415 turned it on,then i turned on my raido. then my mini took off across my pit table. then a towel got locked on the wheels so i turned off the raido and grabed my mini knoted up in a towel. luck me nothing broke.
my buddy could not stop laughing at me!

sometimes we forgot and left out few thing we used to check and re-check before we turn on the car.
I have too, the same dumb mistake.
My BD has the same setting as my RDX beside the steering is reversed.
at the main, my car turned left and drilled itself into the pipe, when I simply turn right for the first right hander...

That's why I've made sure neutral throttle is set the same for every model I have. TC, 1/12th, Mini, so when I go across models by accident it stays put. Only the 1/12th has reversed steering, mostly it's just different curves and steering endpoints.. the ESCs can be programmed with the same settings across every model...
