u can get a properly tuned nitro to run for over an hour, all u have to do is refuel it every now and then. with electric u have to wait a while after each run. so i guess nitro has the longer runtimes when u compare it that way

I think he is referring to letting the cells cool. But, what doofus brings only one pack?? Li-PO or even some good IB3800's or 4300's. Run time and power to boot. And speaking of running, suppose the weather changes? With nitro, you have to re-tune, avoid the flame-out yada yada. Electric is more fun. Nitro has its advantages, I own a couple. Look for a nice shootout in the next couple of months in the mags. With the way LI "everything" (PO, MN, ION) is going, nitro is in trouble.

IB 4200's in an AE B4 buggy, Novak 5.5.

23 minutes before any noticable power loss.

I have 7 packs, and no need to wait for anything to cool between packs because nothing gets hot.

just as fast as a nitro buggy too!

I have raced both and I prefer electric. If you run a nitro too lean your run time is going to be very short as your motor melts as it reaches over 300 degrees which is not hard to do. Of course you also haxe to deal with flame outs. Do not get me wrong, I love Nitro on the Drag strip with R/C. It just seems like electric is the way to go for a newbie.
