parma indigos

People going to run Indigo at Vegas!? We will need a update for the high bite!
|
so far, the indigo tires have looked good. we have been testing them for months here in cleveland.
tq and win, stock sedan at the michigan state race (med grip/paragon) tq'ed the summer sizzler at trackside (med grip/jack) tq and win, vegas warm-up at fastcats (med grip/jack) i think they will work fine in high grip, but your car may have to be set around them, which is pretty normal for a well setup tc. paul c. tested them at the snowbirds in mod, and the car stayed down very well. and this is all without using c/a on the sidewalls. |
I am going to experiment with more of Parma's 12th compounds like Black front and black rear. My T-fource didnt like Black fronts, but others running the CRC 3.2r run Black fronts. Ray p.s. see ya in Vegas!! purples had too much bite and were tippy, but fast. might give them another shot |

Yes. Right now CEFX has some as does AB Charles. We will have them in Vegas and before. We can sell some to shops that are interested in giving us feedback. "Official" release will be next week.

I think it is time for a spec foam tc tire. Are you guys tired of wondering what compound some people run ? will you have the latest compound. We will have them at the track........no testing, but only a few have them now.

but as far as i saw some of the factory driver setup they are using F/R magenta for 1/12 modified and Hara and Marc was using F/R double pink in modified touring in vegas race last year.

schreff/seaball, would you guys still reccomend those tire combinations for running 19t TC on carpet without any additive?
We've ran control (orion 40 shore fr/rr) tires the last few years but they have opened things up this year. It's Primatrack GT carpet so there is plenty of grip and there might be up to ten 1/12th cars running on the same day laying down a little additive. Do you guys run the same width foams fr/rr? Cheers. |
i would say yes.
so far, the only time that i would recommend cyan over indigo is when the grip gets high enough that the cyans have tons of steering. at a big race, i think the cyans are easier to drive. the orange sidewall flex softens the car up on center. some guys like the allot of turn-in (schreff), while others don't. that's a preference, but i think the indigos will be faster in anything but high grip. they will still be fast in high grip, but maybe not as necessary as they will be at a club race. also, for the 2-stage crowd: you can get the feeling of 2-stage tires when the indigos are cut to 54mm or so because they don't peel up. of course, not at a roar event. i can't say enough about the range of sizes that these indigo tires are good at. i run them larger to start (57mm), and keep running them until they are super reactive at 54 and lower! they are still fast at 54mm. that's like 8-10 runs on a set of front tires that you immediately start fast with! |

I have ran a plaid/purple combination before and was wondering if anyone has used the indigo's with purple rears? What is your impression?
