when the kit is first released it will come with the cnc arms, later in the year composite arms will be available.

and yes the car does look awsome, looks like it's designed for a purpose...

Looks very nice! But I do hope that the final version will use 4 screws to hold the damper plates on!

Will the front dog bones be steel or alu ??

I'm worried that if I crash it I will be up for some $$$$ damage.

Also interested in knowing how tough those alu arms will be.

At the moment I'm putting all my car purchases on hold until the Assasin is released

i think u will be suprised to find the arms rather strong
the didnt break after some hits at cleveland - well thats what i read

i think the weak joint will be the inner pivit and hing pin

Default Arms

At the beginning of this thread, JANTLE of Corally USA said the arms will be molded when it comes out. So which one is it really, molded or cnc?

the word from Corally at the show in Germany is CNC arms first up, waiting for the composite arms to be ready would delay the car 3-4 months.

ahhhh Mark-still trying to give me the "daddy know s best" eh???

I might-why not-I dont need to decide on a TC till September 2003. This car looks really good. Especially the single belt car.

To be honest-I might only run 12th scale at Champs so I might not even run TC at Champs for awhile!!!

Default Taken from the Corally UK site.

Latest info:

The car will be available in April 2003 (exact date not yet released).

Master Version
Initially it will come in the Master Version - which is all the alloy arms, suspension components etc. Probably very similar, if not identical, to the pictures below. We have been informed that the Manufacturers Catalogue List Price for this version will be 599.00 Euro.

Pro Version
We have also been informed that approx 4 months later, the Pro Version will be released, this will have the moulded suspension arms etc, this will have a Manufacturers Catalogue List price of 399.00 Euro.

A complete parts/price list is expected within the next month, which will be made available on this site.

Default Back From Snowbirds

Hey Guys!!!!

Alot has been going on and it is hard to keep up with it all. I just walked in the door from the Snowbirds Race. This was the largest R/C race in history. There were over 780 entries and the racing was around the clock. There may have been only two hours that there was not a car on the track but that might be pushing it. I think that I slept for a total of 18 hours in 6 days. Needless to say I am a bit tired but before I get some sleep I will share the information that I have at this time.

The Assassin will be released in April. It will include the CNC Arms in the first kits. (Don't worry, They are very light and strong!!!) It will then be switched over to the composite arms after the molds are done. (You guys just won't wait 3-4 more months) Even with these CNC parts you will have to add weight to reach your race min. There could be a sport version of this kit at a much later date. This way we can get entry racers into a Corally at a more obtainable cost.

How do you guys like the name of the car?

You may have X-ray eyes or even be sent on a Mission but, the ASSASSIN always carries out the last act!! Then you become a model number just like all the rest.

There are many diffrent ways that we can play with this name!!!
I LOVE IT!! (but i am a little bias)

I have to admit the pics of the car show a very impressive design with great machine work. The name also is impressive, but I don't see how it pertains to driving, except maybe to the dedicated hacker. Corally definitely have set a very high bar for themselves, I hope that the drivers think that the car can reach that bar.

Default for ray

Just giving you a hard time.

The car does look pretty. I still have my old c4 sitting in the basement. I was planning on running it this summer, if I race some electric outdoor races, and running one of those yokomo truck bodies on it. Who knows maybe there will be enough people to start a class of truck racing.
