Tamiya World Championships 2006
#46
Well Australia's finished its final two weeks ago. We have Adam Amos for N1, Joe Hall in Buggy, and Luc Button for GT1. Interesting rules that GT1 can only run sport tune motors.

Keith, Mark and Troy at least won't be having any jet-lag performance loss problems this year at the worlds.
They all competed over the weekend in a 24hr enduro at SIR in Washington.
All looked a little bleary eyed but managed to keep cranking fast lap times into the next morning and managed to finish second.
Congrats guys, and best of luck at the worlds.

Apologies, when I say we won, I mean that Marcus Askell (UK) is the world champion.
#50
Yes Marcus Askell (Q Ball) is the Tamiya GT Class World Champion with TQ and 3 A final wins.
Not sure who won N1 and the other classes though.

And he's been celebrating ever since hee hee, I think he'll be celebrating for the next couple of weeks as well, what a great birthday present to himself

He seemed sober(ish) when i spoke to him yesterday, but that was not long after the racing. He's flying back on wednesday, but he might not be in a fit state to fly.
