Mike Haynes posted his setup a few pages back... That would probably be an awesome start.

Kids? which ones, the ones you dropped off at the pool?

Here is the std hayne's setup, the only difference will be adding .030" shims under the front pivot blocks.

Default setup

hey guys I am looking for a good setup for my losi type r for a tight and open technical track for asphalt racing. And also what are the parts that are expected to be needed on a regular basis for this car. Also what are some good places I can get parts for this car. I am also looking for an aluminum battery plate for lipo. What gear ratio is being run on a novak 4.5.

The new R9-R body does fit without cutting down the shock towers.

Default Type R Setup Sheet (Excel Format)

Hello everyone,

Attached is a spreadsheet that can be used to record your setups. I really don't like printing out the setup sheet and for some reason you can't add items to the pdf that losi has on the website so I decided to do this. As far as I know, the blank sheet should work on windows mobile, with the exception of the validation lists that I setup. For those who know what this is, you know what I am talking about. I also included additional lines (more specific items) to help me remember what I did for my setup. Also included are gear ratios (FDR) rollouts for both 64 pitch and 48 pitch spurs. Just be cautious as you should only select one..

Included is a worksheet that can be used to mathematically figure out what your rebound is when you use the LOSI shock tool. I thought of creating this after reading thru some other threads ie: TC5 as people were talking about rebound and relative percentages (this is what the spreadsheet started with, then I added the entire setup sheet). I figure that this is a much better way to utilize the shock tool. Have a look and let me know your comments.

I spent around 5 hours creating/formatting total to create this. If you choose to use it, hopefully it meets your needs!

Enjoy

Gordon

Default screenshot of setup sheet

For some reason the zipped file that I uploaded doesn't work, if someone can advise on a better way to do this, please do so.

thanks
