Ive heard they are not too bad except the hole at the bottom sometimes binds on the piston shaft so you should check the piston moves smoothly before filling the shock with oil.
I never built mine as i stole a set of my pro 4

Cyclone S
Hi, I'm planning to buy one of these Cyclone S cars. My question to you is, which pinion or pinions, do I need if I only run stock spur (96 T) with stock motor Trinity P2K pro.
Thanks
Thanks

I think with a 96T (assuming 64P) you will need a 34 tooth or larger pinion to get them to mesh properly (34 barely reaches the spur). You'll have to see if that works for the gearing you want. Otherwise you will need a different spur. I think you can go up to 104 teeth without modification to the chassis.
To get the mesh fit properly what do I need to due.
Thanks

I use a 48P 69T spur (as suggested my mangoman) and the use 39-41t pinions, but I am only running 540. I put a 27turn stock motor in the other week with a 34T pinion and it seemed to mesh ok, but you may have to file a bit of the plastic away if you go much smaller as the motor will hit.

Well I don't run a 27T motor (13.5 brushless) but from reading here and on the cyclone thread I think a lot of guys are running 100 or 104 tooth spurs (64P), or run a pinion 34 or larger with the 96T. Either way seems to take care of the problem. The problem is that the motor won't move very far so meshing can be a little bit of a pain for some. When I was running without a sintered rotor I was running 37 pinion and 100 or 94 spur.
