Default Arrow max pinions

I recently picked up quite a few arrow max pinions. They work great. However I can’t seem to find the right size set screw to replace the ones that come with them. I’ve got both 4-40 and 5-40 nothing works. Any ideas. I’ve done a little research and couldn’t find anything. Thanks

which arrowmax pinions? The plastic ones use a 2-56 set screw (0.050” wrench)

The metal pinions use M3x2.5mm set screws, IIRC (1.5mm wrench).

Pretty much everything in RC is metric these days, so I doubt that the set screw is going to be 2-56. More likely a 2 or 2.5mm set screw (I forget which), and if a 0.050 wrench fits, it’s actually a 1.3mm hex (MIP sells them). 0.050 will do the job in a pinch, but the 1.3mm is a more exact fit.

You're right.

"Uses M2.5x2.5mm grub screw and requires a 1.3mm or 0.050” hex driver."
