Must be taken from a later race day.... an evoV with the new alloy rear arm set up. Yes an evoV in 04??? its in the pits, the camera man says, theres a shaft and theres some blue bling(refering to the evoV.) confused. when was this car released? Also seen some quick footage of Castle hill rc track, cool!.

And the steel outdrives from the TA-05 spool is a perfect fit

I dont know if anyone here can help me but as I understand it, the Evo 5 steering set up is less prone to slop than the Evo 4 or 415, and having both the Evo 4 and 415, I'm determined to try and improve the steering systems on them. So, does the Evo 5 steering set up fit the Evo 4/415, or any other set up which is less prone to slop fit.
I think that overall Tamiya TRF cars are great, apart from the steering set up.
Any help gratefully recieved.

Hi terry,
The new steering setup isn't a direct fit for either the evo4 or non-MRE/MSXX 415's. As the bell cranks are longer, it requires new holes in the chassis, and a new top deck.
In all honesty, whilst the old system does have a fair amount of slop, it really doesn't affect the performance of the car(s).
If your at C-wars this weekend, I'll pop over and have a chat

Hi Ed
Thanks m8, I will be at the Wars on Sunday so will see you then.
I know what you mean about it not really affecting the cars performance, although, that said, I put Aidan's car on the set up board last night and the steering had so much slop, I couldn't get the wheels lined up So, I dont know if it will go in a straight line or not, and with such a tight schedule on Sunday, I cant keep taking it back to the track to check it. I really wish Tamiya would get it's act together here, would turn the cars from really good to awesome
