Racereport

setup:

Carpet
Tires rubber sorex 24 on disk Proline insert orion blue mid
shocks
front white tam - oil 50 asso
rear blue tam - oil 40 asso
Camber rear 3°
Camber front 2°
gearing 48dp 74 to 21
rest standard

I have lowered the turnbukle arm on rear bulkhead. I removed the shims and replaced them by lower shims. That was the trick

The car was handeling very well. Still have a viberating sound when I'm turning in. Is it possible that it comes from the shaft and there's nothing to do about it?

to agp,

The noise that is coming from the wheels are the universal shafts. You have to remake them. And Please Put Some GREESE in the axle and the Cup joint.

It should help,

Hello,

I used to have a TA05 and planning on going back racing again and thinking of getting the EVO 5, but I have some questions and I hope you can answer them for me.

How is the handling compared to TA05 (for TA05 owners)?
Is it a tank just like the TA05?
and are parts easily available right now(online U.S. shops)?

Thanks.

Comparing to the TA05,

This is a pro car not a toy like the TA05 were you have to buy optional parts to get the car runing.

The parts that you really need, you can get. The parts of the msx415 are the same like arms, steering blocks, ... .

Optional parts are not so easy to get. Still waiting for some of them to come out.

Regards

sorry colin i was too fast for you guys again you are on the right track with the setup you are the forth person with that spring combo the reason your car was difficult to drive is your wishbone hight you were using the evo4 blocks you said they are 1mm higher than the 415 blocks you get less roll wich will make the car more twitchy your car is fast tho colin i would sudgest you put 3deg of rear toe on it tho 1xa 1e evo 5 arms try the blocks flat on the chassis first.

Please don't get me wrong, I have been racing for quite a bit now and I have had 415, xrays, hpi some others. the only reason I'm comparing this to an 05 is because it's the best damn out of the box TOY that I have ever driven. But still thanks for your input.

ALSO is there an optional fornt diff.that you can buy or does it come with one.

only an Evo5 diff will fit. TRF415 Diff (front or the new rear one) won't fit.
There is a list of parts you need a few pages back.

Tryhard, mrJolly,

Is it possible when cornering the main shaft makes a vibrating sound, because of the speed and the craft? That's what it feels like. Any of you have it. The shimming is ok that I know for sure.
