Tamiya TB Evolution V

It seems that with a 96 spur you can use no smaller than a 27 pinion.
The motor scrubs against the topdeck with anything smaller. Thatīs not good news for all of the brushless guys that wants to run a gear ratio above 8.6.

danjoy25 - how are you planing to get the lipo secured?

Lipo
Planning on using battery tape and glueing 2-3mm graphite plates cut smaller than the chassis battery cutout under the lipo pack which would limit the movement, like the normal packs we have now

cool, keep the pics comming, maybe you can file the area pout so the batt sits lower?

Hopefully mine will be here in the next few days.
Then time to start sanding carbon again, 2 weeks ago had to do the New MSX and 2 weeks before that was the carbon bits on the TA05.
I'm starting to like the taste of carbon.

Have to confess I haven't even prep the chassis yet. Just assembled the thing last night to see what it looks like.

Well i have my kit at long last , roll on the weekend so i can get it built. Just looking through the bits it looks a good step up from the EVO III i used to race.
May have to treat the kit to some new cells and speedo alittle more upto date than my novak what ever it is.

My Evo V will shortly be dispatched from japan along with a few pairs of the new arms and a full steering linkage setup. Hopefully i will have it late next week, i will keep everyone updated on fitting the steering on my 415.

why does everyone assume that 1-ways don't work on carpet?
They do, and are probably the fastest way round the track. Yes, they are more tricky to drive than a diff, and Yes, they are different to drive. But in a back to back comparison (unless your using foams), I'd take take a 1-way over a spool/diff anyday.
The only time I've ever found the need for something else in the car on carpet is when the track is super tight, or running foams.
