It makes a very big difference. That is why most people run the largest spur gear they can fit in their car. I do not know the physics behind it but it is a fact and has been proven on the track maybe someone with some engineering background could shead some more light on the subject

wow so many things to say but to me i still thinks that Ta04 may be slower at straight but i feel that if theres alot of turning i think that Ta04 is faster.......(TO ME)

hm...... lets say bigger diff gear and smaller centre pulley
and then coupled with bigger spur to acchive the same ratio

So you guys mean that our TAO4pro or watever TAO4 is far far to ever match a TRF414? so wat will i do with this kit...grrrrrr!!!

u can try changing the front knuckles from left to right (c1 right c2 left )
for a more aggerasive stearing

to me i feel that not all 414s wins 04 i depends on the driver....the car....and the opponent.....

oh!!!! i just remember that i got a pro friend i tested the time of him when he was playing 04 the timing actually was faster than the timing whan he play 414....that means that he is better in 04.....

stratuskyo: hey buddy thanks for that info...now im confidence even a little...i jas need to practice more on my driving and fix a little my pros set-up then we will see..hehehe...im so excited to race...i dont want to let go with my pro...i am contented with this car...but if anyone can convince me that the 414 is really much better than the TAO4...oh no!!! anyway we will see

the c1 c2 is the plastic piece ur stearing turnbuckle is fixed to - the one that holds the wheels and universal joint in front .......
the one that can turn left and right ....

try switching them around .... u will get less stearing but more aggerasive and precise

yes the 414 is much better because it has some addjustability of a custom build car to boot .....
just add spacers or change spacer location or just use some creativity u will see some different setup... u can use... but it can also be a hassle because i have toooo much addjustability

Don't worry, your TA04 can beat any car as long as you are a better driver than the other.
