Literally one post just before you posted..

Just picked this car up.. I've run an xray 20, 21 and the awesomatix and this car is so much easier to drive out of the box for me. I'm surprised this car isn't more popular

I thought about getting one but parts supply seems to be limited in the US from when I was looking. Body off, definitely the best looking 1/12 imo.

Parts are available but have not needed to replace any parts. Out of the box this car is super easy to drive and competitive:

Parts are easy to get..
klinikrc.com and discountrcstore.com both carry parts and have fast shipping. my LHS doesn't carry schumacher, mainly only Xray.. so I have to buy online

Buying from racing-cars.com (the Schumacher UK site) has always been super fast for me, usually 3-4 days to my door. Many times, with the conversion rate from GBP to US dollars, the cost is also less than buying in the states,

Hey guys,

dummy question here.
I’m just about to purchase one of these, Ive been reading about the new rear wheel nut design and saw on the Schumacher website they sell wheels that claim to be for the eclipse 4, is that wheel type needed for the car? If so I’ll buy some when I purchase the kit. (Item No.JT3-38USR)

Second question, is there anything parts related I should be purchasing when buying the kit? Spares or Upgrades?

thanks everyone in advanced

Yes, the JT3’s are for the E4 (JT2’s are equivalent fronts)

I haven’t had any parts issues. I have zero spares besides tires. Box set up parts with a few fluid tweaks and the car has been good in testing (17.5, black carpet, jt3 38’s, strakka body)

Tyres. Lots and lots of tyres.

Maybe spare option springs. There is the aluminum pivot but my car is fine with the plastic.

The car is very durable.

I was throwing the car around on a green layout the other day and gave a few hard licks to the pipe. Surprisingly strong.

Like other have mentioned I just have spares of the tuning springs (front and rear) and the only upgrade is the aluminum pivots. I have taken my cars through a bunch of hits and not had any issues with them... Tires are the only thing that I make sure to have extra on hand for though. I have bought a gear diff for my car but that is just a tuning / testing option that I wanted to try on the black CRC carpet that we have local to me. The spool runs just fine.

The alloy pivot gives the option of running the pivot 0.5mm lower, good on really high grip but we run it like that everywhere. That is the only major option we use. It is worth having the 1 degree brace and a selection of springs as tuning options but that's it.

Hi guys, love the car and I'm thinking of swapping brands but the specialised wheels are a turnoff.
Any idea if an xray axle setup would fit? Got a few of those...
Thx
