I'd like to get the Fantom, wish Kyosho would rerelease one of the vintage 1/8 nitro buggies.
Honestly hadn’t really got that far yet. The carpet track RD was waiting till they got one to see what might work. It’s a small track, 17.5 works good. I’ve run my 10.5 in practice. But can’t imagine actually doing a race with it.

When this was announced, he had hoped that it would reignited 1/12 interest for their parking lot racing. Unfortunately it will probably not available in time for that.

Only took a few hours to build. Everything went together nicely. Rear tires are pretty soft. Once the wheels hit the market I’ll be mounting up some donuts. Sits between 5.5 and 6mm in ride height. I’m going to change the rear axle inserts, cut a little off the rear tires. Going to be fun

What motor are you planning on? I’m torn between this and the Tamiya tc01 FormulaE car. I’ve got a couple 1/12. But I’m couple years too late. There’s basically no interest in 1/12 in my area

please post a video if you can. I’ve only run 1s of 1/12. 17.5 and 10.5. 21.5 on 2s sounds interesting for this scale.

Whats the LeMans motor?

I’m really hoping these work well on pavement. Unfortunately I know my time with access to a carpet track is probably running out in next couple months.

As much as I’d really like to just buy one. I need to first sell a few vehicles I’ve not used in past couple years. And get a better idea of what on road looks like for winter.

Lemans is kyosho line of motors. The one that originally used in the fantom back in the day had a long shaft for the pinion you reach the spur better. Supposed to be out by end of the month.

The Lemans motor were good it's it day. If you need a longer shaft you might look into long shaft pinions. I believe Corally had them at one time and others. when they came out orginally Big Jim did not have a Lemans motor in his. We also ran 1200mah sanyo batteries (6 cell).

These are what Jamie was talking of, the new Le Mans and the extended Pinions to clear the chain drive.

exactly, and comes with both green and blue end pieces to match the motors of the 1980's

By extending the shaft length by 2mm, the long-shaft specifications optimal for the Phantom EP 4WD can be used with a standard 48 pitch pinion gear and deliver expanded range for gear ratio settings.
