Default New Grey Carpet

I see that 360v2 and RCCA have new grey carpet. Anyone have info on what it is, what it's like and where to get it.
Seems to be better then the old grey but not as super grippy as the black.

I'm hearing sidewall gluing is not required on the Track GT (ETS) carpet. Plus I heard its cheaper even after freight shipping than CRC black carpet. I'm surprised 360v2 changed, considering their black carpet was fairly newish.

The carpet at rcca still green since they just opened with no racing on it yet, still feels very good. I like that is easier to see a racing line and no tire glue is needed. So far I'm loving it .

I'm at the nygp at 360 now.. 5th after the seeding round in 13.5 12th scale. I still have the same 4 tires on my car that i arrived with, no glue and no 1 run tires.

The carpet is "Track GT" from the UK, and not ETS, just to clarify.

We are now on the 4th day on this layout. Sat, sun, wed, and Thurs. Traction has risen pretty well...

Iím guessing this carpet wouldnít work for hotel races tho , considering the # of laps it takes to come in ....
mans the fuz it makes easily on .
what type of sauce do they use on this carpet in the UK?
seems this is the trick to a solid 6min run (correct sauce ) from what Iíve read anyways .

This Track GT company has been advertising hard on Google ads. They have been on the side of my monitor on some random sites. lol. Great job to the marketing guy.

I dont like the black carpet and wondered why we went away from the orig carpet in the first place? We werent traction rolling years ago and the COG was WAY higher back then on almost the exact same foam and chassis geometry. (~10 years ago)

Ive been to quite a few "hotel" races on the old gray carpet and it was more than enough traction. I mean..... its flat perfect carpet.

i was told by the crc guys that the old grey carpet isnít able to be made any more for whatever reason ....
so they had theĒblack carpet special made just for RC ď..... which I donít believe or else they would be willing to change it to more like the grey carpet or atleast make it lighter ....

If the black carpet we have had less nap/Pyle it would keep us from having to glue and would be amazing !
many of us feel the glue is the reason for being sick after races (aka- race aids )
so anything that can be done to eliminate gluing is what needs to be done ..... carpet change ...... harder tires ...... make a new ďRC carpet ď
the high grip is great but the gluing tires isnít , thatís the #1 reason 360 went to a different carpet .... when racers are not showing up or having car drive ability issues due to improper glue or health issues from racing ,itís stupid and hurts club level racing .... especially when you normally have 100+ entries on club race days weekly
