Picked up a chassis for myself when I was at Apex (team eam) over the weekend. Looks like I’ll be changing the way I mount my battery. The Narrow chassis doesn’t allow it to be placed off to the side.

Got to run with the aluminum chassis this past Tuesday. (I also switched over to graphite arms)

I am sure the biggest difference for me was having to move the battery placement. I’ll be playing with weight and balance a lot over the next coming weeks.

I struggled a little with turn in, but wow I picked up corner speed. The car would drift if I tried hard enough.. I also tried the new Hudy premount wheels. Lighter weight than the Gravity mesh, but less flex than the Gravity 6 spokes.

What have been your thoughts now that you’ve run it a bit?

I still can’t decide, I do know I wish it was wider so I could run the battery up front.

It's been hard to keep the chassis flat. It does have great corner speed and turn in was good. Need to try it without the spool, the car got tipping when traction came up.

It has been hard for me to tell since I changed the battery placement at the same time. I also switched to graphite arms when I swapped the chassis.

I did feel like I got more corner speed, and I can “feel”
adjustments more. I lost a bit of turn in, but I think I got that back.

I too am running the spool, but gluing the front tires like a TC seemed to help with the tippy part.

I keep meaning to try a 2.5mil diff...

If I'm not mistaken the T4 spool should fit, as the car also uses the T4 diff.

Default T4F on carpet

Did a couple of laps today at our local track. Tyres is Ride ETS without sauce. 17.5 motor with FDR 5.0.
Everything is pretty much box stock except for The springs.

What's the car weight once you have installed this aluminium/brass chassis?

1255 grams. I had to add 60 grams under speedo to get to 1255.

do you run the rear 25g block too?

I had to use the front brass suspension mounts, and add 100g in tungsten to get to 1250. That’s using the front 7075 brass, but not the rear.
