The stock top deck had a little to much flex for me. So I wanted to try the VTD. Has the same side to side flex but stiffer front and rear. I will try it on gray carpet Saturday.and asphalt on Sunday. I will also try the stock top deck to see which one works out better.

As the owner of several, I can tell you flex was not the kx-one weak area what really killed it was the high cg it had and the super weak one-way bearings up front. Terrible racing chassis great drift chassis tho. As for top racing, as far as I know, they went under got several of their single belt conversion not bad in my opinion.

Query
Hiya folks,
I have a ta07 too and am interested in the ta07ms. Is a single belt touring car capable of running in mod?
Has anyone tried with mod motors and how low is possible before the tranny explodes?
Thank you for any thoughts or experience on this matter.
Cheerio!

Wait is that an actual problem with single belt Tc? Are they known to not handle power? Because I have to say I have put some low turn motor on them even my kamikaze Kx-one I put a 10.5T in it. The diff took it fine but the front one way is like no, I think I rather self-destruct no matter what even on a 21.5t motor

A single belt car has both the front and rear spool/diff driven with only a single belt wrapped @ halfway around the drive/layshaft pulley. A two belt has both the front and rear belts wrapped @ halfway around the drive/layshaft pulley(s). I imagine with the current level of torque from brushless motors the tension on the belt required to prevent skipping would offset any potential efficiency advantage?

These are the single belt cars that I currently own
Kawada Sigma 2
Losi XXX-S
Kyosho Kx-one
TA07
Top Racing Single Belt
I always hear on old threads talking about the efficiency aspect of a single belt tc but have yet to see any actual evidence that backs it up. I personally like them because of how they look single belt tc always looked cool to me.
