Exclamation Tc3 problems?

Hey everyone im new here, im a transport from the HPI forums I have been a diehard HPI fan, but the AE Tc3 has so much good press that i just cant turn it down. Im interested in getting the tc3 RTR and i just have 1 question. Ive heard that the little rods that the wheels go on to on the tc3 are shorter than other manufacters and can pose some problems when putting on certain wheels. The RTR comes with 24mm wheels and i was wondering if 26mm wheels would fit on with no problem or is there any "hop up" part that replaces those little rods with bigger ones or something like that. And would there be enough room for me to put wheel spacers in when i want to run a 200mm body like i do with my pro3. thanks guys Alex

What I think you are referring to is the fact that if you use wheels made out of thick plastic the nyloc section on the standard wheel nuts doesn't engage properly so the nuts can fall off. It is easily solved by using lower profile wheel nuts. The width of the wheel itself makes no difference. You can run up to 28mm with no problems.

so are you saying that the problem is in the nut that srews on to the rod after the wheels is put on not the rod itself? And can i buy different nuts the are a better fit for bigger wheels?

i think trinity makes some low profile nuts for like 7.00 a set. those should solve your problems
