It's about that time for the 7.3?

I think that was the time between the 7.1 and 7.2? Or was it the 7 and 7.1?

The TC7 was announced December 2015 and the TC7.1 was announced September 2016. I think the relatively quick release of the 7.1 was in response to the super short shock evolution that hit the TC market around the same time.

So likely a two year cycle on the T7 platform then. Makes sense, a change each year seems superfluous. Particularly when you look at kits like the Xray... Such minor changes and always a price hike!

The difference between the TC7 and 7.1 are just the shorter shocks bearing caps , towers and Dcvd's (6.2 option part) the TC7 never should have been made. The Xray T4 had short shocks 2 years before the TC7.1

Even it's a question for my TC7.1 I think I can ask it here and get a faster response
I run on small indoor black ETS Carpet track an started with some setup options (mix of petitrc setups). I noticed that the car has really nice steering but when exiting corners and hitting the throttle the rear breaks loose. It's very hard to control and made me crash more than once...
I was running 37.5wt front an rear with 2.5/2.8 and 2.7 x-ray Springs. Diff 7k.
Somewhere I got the tip to switch to 10k in the diff. That made a huge impact. The car is much better and I can fill throttle when exiting corners without the fear of a crash.
I spoke to some other guys here (Sakura Thread) and when I mentioned 10k in the rear diff I got asked if I am crazy...why? Even on petitrc most guys run 7k.
Diffs still confuse me a bit...on my F6 I want to run as open as possible without the diff slipping...in the hudy setup book it says you run tighter diffs the more grip you have...

also it differs from diff to diff. We used a diff checker on my tc7.2 diff running 3k oil, and an infinity diff running 6k oil, my tc7.2 diff had a value only slightly lower than the infinity but the infinity had double the viscosity. Might be the Alu diff vs plastic as it was similar to the mugen diff.

What is everyone using for a fan mount?

Have a TC7.1, but have used this one from AE on the TC6, TC6.2, TC7 and now the TC7.1 (works on the TC7.2 as well). Never had a problem with it and pushes enough air for USGT. Work on my gearing/motor timing if I'm having issues with too much heat in the motor at the end of a run.

Anyone cutting the rear of the motor mount to get better rear flex? I didnt want to cut mine so shimmed it 0.5mm on the front 3 screws and the car is unreal on low to medium grip asphalt. Had to to shim the top deck 0.5mm to clear the spur. Also using the 1.6mm top deck, coupled with the 1up centre brace so its solid front to back but has massive torsion flex. Car has sooo much grip and steering, running in 13.5t stock

Hasselhoff, yes, in the UK we've been shimming the mount up and only using front screws and like you, have found a big improvement on our medium grip tracks.
