XRAY T4'19 SPEC

Hi there everyone,
I'm looking to tryout Asphalt Touring Racing with a used X-Ray T4 18. Could you all please give me some good pointers on selecting a 13.5 motor (2s 8.4v limit), ESC Road Approved Blinky and a steering servo so I can be able to keep up with the competition for fun of course!
I have experience using a electric 1/10 B6 for carpet racing with 17.5T Tekin and G2 ESC that a retired co-worker recommended and for fun I also had an electric Losi8 3.5 with a Hobbywing motor and ESC (XeRun XR8 Plus HW460SD) Probably a 21.5?
Any help would be greatly appreciated because it's very confusing to me when reading all the different specs and now I regret not paying more attention to why my co-worker suggested those electronic parts and not asking questions. I don't have money to spend and I don't want to waste money on electronics that are no good either, but little by little I am sure I'll have to replace things, but hopefully by then I'll be more knowledgeable of my T4.
Thanks!

Hobbywing XR10 Justock G3 ESC
Savox 1251 servo
Surpass V5 motor
That is about the cheapest 'decent' kit you can get.

Where are you? Sure they use 13.5 in TC? Best is to ask around at your local track.

My used car came with a few low suspension holders installed. If I’m just running VTA on black carpet (med to high grip, I think), I wouldn’t want to run those, correct? Those are meant to raise the chassis WRT the suspension and generate more grip on asphalt, right? I have the stock parts, just wondering if I should revert back to stock.

What other brand axles fit the Xray T4? Arc, Yokomo, X-Square/Xpress, etc.? I’m trying to find DJCs other than Yeah Racing which will fit.

I have an Xray T4 2019 and guys at the track are telling me that the ARS rear suspension didn't work or didn't drive well with the T4. I know the X4 has much longer suspension arms, but it is essentially also using ARS and just about every new touring car has ARS. Is this BS? Why was it no good then but everyone loves it now. Anybody have any experience with ARS on the T4 or know why it is inferior to the standard rear suspension?

Note that it was commonly used in high traction conditions (both with flex or solid aluminum chassis), and Bruno even won a world championship with it (2018 in South Africa).
So yeah, it is BS in a way. It depends on conditions, setup and driving style.

ARS was favored by some people on some (mostly) asphalt tracks, not so much on carpet. But IIRC it was also kind of heavy, so most people preferred to use standard suspension.

I'm on high traction carpet... Thanks for the feedback.
