Thus far it has panned out pretty much as we thought it would. Performance is on par with the M07 (not really surprising given that the suspension deisgn is identical) and they seem to be happily co-existing with no obvious advantage either way.
And the less 'toy-like' design is attracting drivers that would otherwise have never considered running an m-chassis (along with the super-cheap price)

Nice! Is this CF chassis or FRP?

Not carbon fiber. Assembled the shocks this morning. I like getting that out of the way first. And for once, didn’t loose, break, or curse E-clips.

Looks like I’m stuck here for a bit. So many incorrect screws that I can’t go forward. It’s possible they were just in wrong bags. Plus had to order a bearing, one was wrong and had to borrow from another part of kit.

Everyone loves carbon fiber, but it doesn't have a significant benefit in RC unless you're racing against other really good drivers with cars that are already fully optimized for minimum weight. Mostly it looks cool. In a few cases, I've actually downgraded from carbon-fiber parts to carbon-reinforced-nylon parts. The CRN parts were stiffer against twisting because they contained carbon fibers running every-which-way inside the plastic. This is especially noticeable for shock towers that have large offset spacers between the towers and the shocks, like the XV-01 and FF-04. One of my fully-upgraded XV-01s had an irritating front-end bounce that wouldn't go away no matter what I did to the shocks; eventually I compressed the front suspension while looking very closely at the CF shock tower and I saw the shock tower twist slightly. It was acting as an undamped torsion spring! Downgrading to the CRN shock towers fixed that instantly. (well...instantly after waiting 3 weeks for parts to arrive from Japan.)
I contemplated getting CF shock towers for my TA-05 v2, but then I thought about my experience with my XV-01s and decided that would be pointless. I wish I could get CRN shock towers for my TB-04R; it came with CF shock towers and has large offset spacers on the front shock tower, and I'd rather not have that setup for the same reason. It doesn't carry its motor in the front, though, and that seems to make a difference.

Front swaybar installed. Having problems with rear swaybar. May just skip it.

Not necessarily. Front posture is also important.
