Generators
Lets talk generators for outdoor offroad racing, since I've haven't really seen this topic covered.
I'm looking to get a portable generator and preferably something on the quieter side like 56-68dB and looking at a price range of $250-400
Right now looking at the following:
Harbor Freight 2000 watt Super quiet Predator $430
2.8 6.5hr run time
HomeDepot Sportsman 1000 watt $350
1.3hp 6hr run time
HomeDepot Lifan Energy Storm 1000 watt $270
2.8hp 5hr run time
Looking to see what some of you recommend or are using.

i for one am a generator snob, i bought a honda eu2000, it is dead quiet, i enjoy that. nothing worse than a bunch of cheap farmer generators running to ruin a perfectly nice day at the track

I bought a really nice Yamaha, it was really quiet, but since everyone else had a loud generator it didn't do much for me. I since bought a small Ryobi 1000w that works great and is still fairly quiet and I bought it on sale for $600 less

We got a few guys that run the similar ones to the ones you listed at our track, and they aren't exactly quite, usually they are stuffed in a corner and extension cords are involved.
I actually use this MotoMaster Eliminator PowerBox® 2000 | Canadian Tire
It works great, don't know what the equivalent would be in the US but mine can charge up my 2S and my 3S batteries at least 3 times each (that's usually all I need), and top off my cell phone.
My buddy has the same thing and has tied in a solar panel setup to recharge it...I think his total investment is around $600CAN for the panel, the inverter, stand for the panel, and the booster. He uses it for Camping too so it is great to be out in the camp site and be able to run a radio and charge up the crawlers.

You may pay more but you get the proper inverter that is better for your electronics. Honda would be my 1st choice. I have looked at Yamaha and Polaris.
