Default Slash 4×4 ESC problems!

So after getting out of rc for a while I decided to get back into it. Anyway when I plug my 3s into my Sidewinder 3 SCT ESC it shuts off, almost instantly. On 2s it is fine and I can run it till the battery dies, anyone know why? Anyway after that I was looking into getting a new ESC/motor combo and was wondering if I can use a new Mamba Max Pro 1/10 with my 1410 3800kv Sidewinder motor? Or what would you guys recommend for a ESC and motor? I'm not looking to spend a ton of money but I don't have a super tight budget.

It could be that the cutoff voltage is set for 2s instead of auto. I'm not sure it would have that issue specifically but it's worth checking.

And if you want to stick with Castle, I would get their new Mamba X 1/10 esc instead of the mamba max pro. It's waterproof and sensored. Plus the BEC is enormously improved. And that 3800kv motor would be fine to run with it. Plenty of power on 2s and a great basher on 3s.
