Default SCTE 2.0?

I have a gearing/ motor mount?
I was wondering if someone could tell me why i cant slide the motor in farther to get propper gear mesh. With a motor mounted in the truck, the mount wont slide in. Take the motor off, and the adjuster slides in all the way without issue.
Anyone tell me the issue?

Are any of the screws from the mud guard scraping the motor can when it's attached to the motor mount? I've had to grind a couple of my SCTE screws. One so the ESC would lay flat and another to let the motor slide in freely.

I removed the mud guard entirely. I can get the motor in the mount, but with the motor in, i cant slide it in far enough to get the gears to mesh.. its like the motor is hitting something on the center diff mount or something..

What size pinion are you trying to run? Maybe it's too small?

40 spur, and a 15 pinion wont even work. Without the motor on, the adjuster slides in all the way.

That's definitely odd. Any way you can add a spacer between the motor and the mount to see if it helps clear the diff housing?

Yeah ive never even heard of this happening unless you were trying to fit an 1/8 motor into a 1/10 mount.
What motor is it that you are using?

Ive tried a trackstar 550 5.0, and a tekin 540 size motor. Both do the same thing. Lol.

Probably a dumb question but you're not installing the mount backwards are you? Lol I realized it can slide in both ways but one way prevents the mount from sitting flush with the other part of the mount

Ill check. But the hole for the screw is at the top. If it was wrong, the screw hole wouldnt line up, correct??

I think you would still be able to mount the motor with it backwards but it just wouldn't allow it to slide in all the way. Just something I thought of because I've got the King headz motor mount and I nearly put it in backwards during my rebuild. I'm racking my brain trying to figure out other possible causes but I'm coming up with nothing unless the chassis is tweaked horribly.

Chassis is brand new. Never ran. I think i found the issue though. The screw is touching and not allowing it to slide past that point. But it looks flush in the mount, lol. Not sure what to try now. Lol

Are you using a countersunk screw to mount the motor? And is it the right length?
