curious how the stock AE pads (assuming the same ol material) will hold up. Ended up going with Garolite style pads in 2wd and loved em especially on high traction.

I am guessing that testing didn't show any positive effect from using a center gear diff. A slipper protects the drive line (on-throttle landings, etc.), same as on high traction dirt.

Interesting, if we are to believe the photo, theres no Gullwing arms for the B64 and the rear shocks and tower are the same for both. The only difference I see is the Slipper vs. Gear Diff
Slipper vs center diff ($60) Center drive shaft ($13) Roll center mounts HRC vs LRC (x4) ($68 total) Roll bars** ($12) Caster blocks** ($55) Hard arms** ($17) Springs F/R** ($10) Potential total to convert dirt to carpet $235 retail (** $94 worth of assumptions means it could be as low as $141) Lots of assumptions baked in there... and like Stig said earlier, none of these things would be necessity. It's not like the dirt car won't drive on carpet... But anyway this stuff can add up quick! |

I've been trying to gauge what'll cost to convert the dirt to a carpet, because it sounds like the carpet version will be released a month behind the dirt. And I'm impatient. Looking at the parts list, differences in carpet vs dirt could be:

There are new slipper pads with this platform that can also be used in our other kits. Best pads hands down
Put up the PDF manual on the website. There is nothing else to do! LOL |

Didn't once upon a time AE posted pics of the UPS guy picking up the latest release to send to hobby shops? Don't recall what vehicle it was but it sure was a treat for the people waiting patiently. :)
