Thanks for the reply. I heard from another place the B74 rear arms are compatible with the B6.1 rear arms. I guess the B6.1 and B64 rear arms are compatible so looks like the B74 arms will do also in B64 then?

Im setting up my buggy according to dustin evans rroc setup and I have a quick question. When i use the 2mm bump steer spacers on the steering plate the wheel rubs on the ballcup at full lock is there a difference between 2mm outside 0 inside and spacing 1mm down at the rack and renoving one shim at the plate?

There is not much difference between adjusting bumpsteer at the rack or the plate, so feel free to substitute shims in at the steering rack if it rubs on the plate side.

B64 ring gear

hi,

Has any of you tried different size ring gear in front or rear diffs? I hear some use different gearings than the stock 42 tooth. I wonder how this will change the driveability if eg front will be smaller and rotating bit faster than rear?

I've not heard any reference to this or even gears being planned to be available. Either way I wouldn't mix internal ratios with a slipper in the centre.

Thx for the repl. Good point! No matter how the driveability will be it will load the slipper for sure. I will check later where I heard this setup and let you know if there any sense in this or was this more like prank 🙂

The underdrive gears are popular on the rc8b3 nitro havent read of any b64 using them and i read through all of this thread.

Has anyone tried the vrp gamechangers on a b64 im getting some for my rc8b3.1e?

Yes it was in that car and not any joke then. Most probably its usable on clay and with center diff. Not with slipper and high grip astroturf.

Not even clay they liked it on very loose dirt with low grip and yeah most likely a gear center diff. It was supposed to make the car easier to drive

Ok, Thanks I got the answers what I was looking for!

Another q: I noticed some pro drivers have made modification in B64 and moved the rear tower front of the gearbox. Not sure how does this change the driveability, but I will try it soon. Can someone explain the reasons for this mod in more detail?

What surface are you running on? It's only really done for carpet, not needed for dirt.

I'm driving indoor astroturf track. Medium / high traction and medium size track.

Primarily it is about moving the mass as far forward as possible, shocks, tower & wing (mounts only move the thickness of the tower but using new holes the wing can go a long way forward.

You might find that you like 20-25g under the steering rack for the same reasons.

I don't know, but this mod might be to compliment the wheelbase/arm shave mod that's popular on this car. Without moving the tower, the shocks are supposed to be spaced 7-8mm farther away from the tower + the requisite longer screw. Maybe moving the tower eliminates the need for all that spacing?

Has anyone tried the 13 degree caster blocks? I damaged my 10 degree this weekend the screw pulled all the threads out ordered a timesert kit to fix them and was also considering trying the 13 to make it a little easier to drive. My main track is indoor clay.
