Which 2wd buggy.
I am currently looking at getting a new buggy to race with at my local track here in omaha. I am looking at the Yokomo YZ-2 DT, the associated B5M, associated B6D, losi 22 3.0 and the HB D216. All of these are capable buggies and all the companies offer great product support. What i want to know is how the drive and what is part support like at hobbytown.

I think that's about right. Although I was at a fairly high grip clay track this weekend and even the B6D guys in stock class were adding weight to the rear end to get it to hook up. With my 22 3.0, I just moved the battery back and was fine. But the B6D gets you the laydown out of the box, so if that's the route you want to go it's easily the least expensive choice.

Oh yeah, the guy that qualified 2nd ended up swapping his B6D from the laydown to a stand up transmission between practice and qual. He did it so he could get the battery back and it allowed him to hook up. But the top qualifier ran laydown with a big weight (20 g?) on the rear.
Again, that was a track where clay compound Electrons and Dirt Webs with sauce reign supreme.

If you want easy to get parts like always you get the B6 or the 22 2.0. If you don't mind ordering parts and not many people being at the track to help you with the same car then any of the other ones you are looking at.
Sometimes its hard to try something different if parts are not readily available from your local shop. That means you need to stock pile parts because if you break no one will have them. I run different stuff but I always carry a good amount of extra parts that I wouldn't need to do if I ran AE or Losi.

Raced in Omaha many times when I lived out there a few years back, knowing the track and shop, any 2wd will work great
as far as parts support goes at the shop, Alex is a TLR sponsored racer, so he will have plenty of help and parts in stock. they also have a great support for the AE cars and Kyosho car. im sure they have parts for the other cars but those are the big 3 out there as far as I know

The b6d because Team Associated 😁

Im starting to lean more to the associated side because of parts availability and because of more championships. What are the big differences between the B5M championship edition and the B6D.
