I'm using either AE srings or Kyosho springs depending on the track. Kyosho springs on bigger outdoor tracks and AE springs in smaller tracks, both work fine for me.
Front springs:
Kyosho Big Bore Shock Spring (M/Orange Super Hard) XGS023
Team Associated 12MM Shock Springs (54MM) 4.45 LB/IN Gray No. 91637

Rear springs:
Kyosho Big Bore Shock Spring (LL/Orange/Super Hard) XGS033
Kyosho Big Bore Shock Spring (LL/Yellow/Hard) XGS032
Team Associated 12MM Shock Springs (72MM) 2.60 LB/IN Gray No. 91641

I don't think anyone has heard anything. Tlr has let the scte, 22t, and 22sct sit well after they should have gotten revisions.
Hell, they still have not built a drag racer kit, or Rtr. And that market has been booming.

Will the 1.0 Velcro battery tray bolt up to the 3.0 with no modification? If anyone has both gens of vehicles and could let me know I would greatly appreciate it. I would like to run larger range of battery sizes than what the 3.0 design allows for. Thanks, Alex.

No, the 1.0 tray will not bolt directly to the 2.0/3.0.
Speaking from experience: I have 1.0, 2.0 and 3.0 cars.

Anyone tried the rc8b3.2 shocks? I know the x-ray and 8ight shocks work with no problems but those are hard to find on eBay while the rc8 shocks are all over the place and cheaper.

Does anyone run 2 pole motors? Got this truck for my 8yo who know how to drive but not fast at all. Would a 2 pole 6.5 be a better choice?

A 550 size 2-pole 6.5 (Like a Tekin SC4X or a Novak Ballistic 550) and proper gearing would work to get you a "not too fast" truck for your 8yo. But do not try a 540 size 2-pole motor - it will overheat rapidly unless gears to make the truck really slow.

If I was to take the front and center drive shafts out to make a 2wd truck, do you think a 17.5 could get the truck around a carpet track? It’s for my boy who is a novice. The club has a 17.5 cap on novice class. It doesn’t need to be fast.

You would need something like 100k diff fluid to lock the central gear diff. It's still going to be a heavy truck compared to the 22 sct. A 17.5t is going to be able to push the truck around the track but you would still need watch the temps. I would not skimp on the esc with a 2wd 10th scale version.

P.s. https://www.rccaraction.com/brushless-motors-turns-vs-kv-rating/#visitor_pref_pop
a general table to cross referencing kv vs the number of turns. Each mfg will be a little different.

The 100K suggested above may not be enough. If you are going to make it 2WD, use silly putty in the "center" diff. You could buy a diff locker, but the silly putty likely costs less than a diff locker.

Also, might be good to start with a small pinion, like 10T or 11T

Default Screws

Anyone try a stainless steel screw kit for the 3.0? Just bought the kit and stripped out the heads of two diff screws. Was wondering if stainless would work better?

stainless steel is a softer metal. I'd upgrade to titanium if you want something to last.
