not sure what trimming you would need to do to fit stand up B6d trans...

To put them on the 5 series cars/trucks.

Kinda, the car has a more responsive feel with hard arms front or rear.

Wiki posts, great in theory useless if people don't read them.
The Wiki is nice and reflects the passion of all those that have contributed to it. With that, you never know if and when someone may have figured out something new so there is no need to patronize people for their post.

Additional weight further back. Can help in lower bite situations

First impression of the car B6d compared to the b5m is that it feels more stable. Didn't get the chance to try a lot of changes but kit setup with 2deg antisquat and Green springs up front, battery full back and it was very easy to drive on our damp loose dirttrack.

So is the AE aluminum bell crank, steering rack and bulk head a good idea to use? Only going to run 17.5? LHS has the parts and I plan to start build tonight and they are the first step. Thanks.

Bulkhead I can difinitively say yes to. Bell cranks and rack are a personal feel thing. I didn't like them on the B5M, but some loved them. They also add weight, so there's that effect as well.

I believe the wiki is in place to prevent the 50 pages of "will b5 wheels fit the b6?" As things are found , they get added to the wiki. I also believe the wiki was placed at the top of every page (which is a pain on mobile imo) because many are too lazy or "don't have the time" to read the thread. By being at the top, it's easy to reference. I don't think he was patronizing as much as he was pointing out the purpose. In my opinion of course. I've always found these threads to be a Bible on whatever car your wanting. By reading the entire thread, including the drama, one can get a really good feel for the car, commonly broken parts, setup issues and inspirational ideas, before actually buying it. This goes a long way towards having everything you need when you build it, as well as having a well prepared car for that maiden run at the track. Again, in my opinion of course.

Agree, Sometimes its best to check the first paige for info that has been mentioned before. Also I hate when people ask if a part is the same as in a b5, Why not just look up the manual for the b5 and b6 and compare to see if the part #'s are the same.
