Questions?? Running Shock With no Oil

In just rebuilt my Vaterra Halix Suspension and it seems that the oil isn't staying in well (probably because it's my first time). Is it safe to run it with no oil or should I try again?
Thanks!

Make sure you didn't gouge up the shaft or anything. Soak the rings in oil or use some grease as recommended.

New shocks will leak at first many times, the O rings take time to absorb some oil and swell. I suggest refilling them and bleeding them properly and it should get better if you didn't mess anything up.

You can use grease or slime on the O rings I thought that's what he meant above... Lol
