how do you like the side rails?

Also, are the distribution issues we are having in the USA the same you are having overseas?

Sorry for butting in, I drove my mates Durango today on an outdoor clay track and I would have to say it's the best 4wd buggy I have ever driven. I am very impressed with it. Looks like a new 4wd buggy is on the menu.

Hi Cain,
I dont have them yet!
There is an guy in an austrian second hand online portal, that sells his dex410, with alot of parts and i asked him, if he sells the aloy side rails separatly as well, so cross my fingers, as i'm not willing to spend arround € 50.- for one side, if i had to order them from a shop...

As for parts aviability, it is not that hard here in europe, most of the time, when i do order from my little LHS, he gets the parts within a week, or so, if he does not stock them at the moment.
i do online orders from austrian, or german shops as well, and have the parts coming in latest within two weeks, thats ok for me, as i stock quit some parts and i do not race that often too.

if i cant get those used side rails from this guy, i'll draw some and let them water Jet out of an 4 mm cf sheet...

It seems to me that most of the parts I'm finding, not only for the new kits, but also the older ones come from shops with .de in the address. I guess these cars were really popular in Germany. Most of the shops have been OK to deal with, insane shipping though. For whatever reason, it costs more to ship a couple bags of screws from Germany than it does to get a full kit from Australia...can't figure that out, unless they are pocketing some of the shipping as an "American" tax.

maybe a V1? if it has some aluminum hangars I am thinking the race version, versus the cheaper dex410R if I recall correctly.

That's an upgraded DEX410Rv3. the plastic rear chassis brace and the small bore shocks indicate as such. Easily upgradable to the v4 from there though.

I wonder if the small bores even need to be upgraded. I'm mean, we're not talking Tamiya Avante small. My B3's and early B4's, hell goldpans, don't have any issues on 1/8 tracks. They need flushed more often being the only thing I've noticed.

Finally hopefully fingers crossed will be able to get this V5 on the track Next Week. Finishing up the restoration of my SC410V2 (this one's taking forever) so that all my Durango's are ready for the track. Next week is crunch time. I've got to fully prep and dial in five 10th scales. Super excited to finally put these up against a field of B6D'S,T5M'S,SC5M'S,TLR equivalents and a variety of wheelers.

To be honest, it's been too much of a crunch to feel 100% confident with these new cars on opening weekend. But hopefully I don't get flat out smoked and can see some improvements over the coming weeks. Maybe some wins here and there! I've put a lot of work in to get these things rolling just how I wanted them; some satisfaction would be nice.

That's definitly a dex410R, the dex410 2010 Spec had all the aloy upgrades comming alog with the kit.

The "R" had aloy shock towers and all the hing pin hangers and some other parts where plastic.
Only problem at the earlier versions were the center shafts, they pop out easy at big jumps, or crashes, they changed the length of the slipper outdrive at the V3 to sort this.
As for the small bore Shocks, i'm actually looking for a set, they are great, no Problem with them...

Here are the links to the TD site, for easy indentify:

As stated aboth, you can easily upgrade it to an V4

I do, however going with a different vehicle fit better with getting my daughter in 1/10 4wd racing at the price point I was at.
