Check out a Kyosho Inferno VE. I was thinking about doing the same to my old 7.5 if I ever got the desire to try e-buggy.

The kyosho conversion works great, I had done it on an mp777 and it's pretty straightforward. Instructions are great too. I will recommend going to the composite spur gear though. The steel pinion on steel gear is very loud.

There are so many cool hopups available for the 7.5 series as well.

Fiber Lyte used to make a full carbon fiber set for it. I had a 7.5 with that set - beautiful but very hard to find now.

Fioroni (spelling?) also used to make cool parts for it as well. So many options . . .
