I know it'll help calm it down some if I get a rough landing, but I feel ya with a lot of fast guys, but it will only help you keep up with them over time.expert 17.5 at my track every one is withen like a half second per lap from best to worst. So basically come down to who can go without making a mistake cus one roll over or wreck and your run for TQ is over.

Almost done with the build of my new toy. The Type R is a hi quality kit for sure. Gonna run it in two weeks and I can't wait to see how it performs . I had purchased a set of gull wing arms before the kit was ordered and it's pretty weird how the rear arms do come as gull winged but the fronts are straight ,just beefier.

Yup all rear gullwings are the same..the fronts gullwings are much better than the first batch they made. Pr arms have always been very good durability! I'm super happy with the type R over my older fm...it's so nice to not traction roll anymore, Gives you confidence to just push it!

Any gearing starting point suggestions for an LRP 8.5 motor? Build is complete just getting both FM and Type-R ready for next weekends outing. Gonna post some pics later tonight. Great quality overall and shocks are so smooth.

[QUOTE=sickpuppy1;15167726]OK, so here's the plan...Somebody at PR should PM me and take my TLR 22 2.0 and trade me a 2018 PR S1 V3 TYPE R(FM) even money to get a foot hold here in the midwest. Thats the plan........[/QUOTE
There's quite a few in the Midwest...pcrc has about 5 to 6 at that track alone, but that losi don't come close to how the type R performs oe even just the regular 18 v3fm as it still has the ultra low shocks and towers, just less option parts...but the shocks are the biggest improvement and the reason the type R is so good... my aluminum type r was the fastest at the track my last race...I was pulling an extra half sec a lap out over everyone else

Yea man I ran it this past Sunday at our local track ( turf) for first time out and me not having raced in about a month the car was pretty obedient . Point and shoot . Only change I made from kit settings was putting the rear shocks on the outer lower holes of arms. Felt a bit more planted . Also next time I will run it without the waterfall brace to see if the flexabilith of chassis helps .
