agreed, not sure if his "move" in A1 was right either.

if he was (if there was one there, in theory) marshalled and put back where he left, he would have been 5th at best (and may well have still won he was that good)

but waiting like he did wasn't enough i don't feel.

Was there an exchange between Maifield and a japanese driver at the end of A1?? Maifield looked pissed. He walked up the the driver, and you could read Maifield's lips and he said "HEY!!!"... Then the view was blocked but you could see what appears to be Maifield pointing his finger in the dude's face

Let me start off by saying congratulations to all the winners, job well done. Now my little beef that I have, and I'm sure some will share this with me. The track has been talked about to death on various forums about the "non-offroad" style it was presented, and this is no disrespect to Japan, they did a fantastic job putting the event together. Coming from a on-road enthusiast as well as a off road racer (and by off road i mean loose dirt) Is it just coincidence that the 2 top positions in 4WD finishing were TC racers. IMO the IFMAR 4WD has a striking resemblance to a on-road race, and here in lie's the true meaning of off-road dirt racing. You couldn't take a BD7 or a TC6 on a dirt track, but I don't think it would be far off to take one on this years IFMAR stage. I know it's not ozite and the there is jumps, but in my humble opinion I would really like to see a traditional dirt track put together for the next worlds.

They can't build a layout without blind spots and you're still talking about the surface. Even the astro guys said the surface isn't traditional astro.

Real off road racing = sauced slick tyres on hard packed clay as smooth as concrete.

Where's all the Mericans and AE cars in 4wd? Yikes to be so dominant in 2wd and to be non existant in 4wd. I think they need one National champ. Combine results from both 2 and 4 and crown one champ.

Ryan C - "The 4WD wasn't designed for this track surface."

Makes me want to go putt-putt golfing. I don't know how or when Astro tracks became a thing. I can see how hard packed, grooved clay tracks evolved out of the standard dirt tracks, but the Astro not so much.
I'd still run on them though if they were around. It's probly pretty fun.

I thought the racing was excellent in 2wd. 4wd was a bit of a snoozer, but that happens. I wish there was a turf or carpet track closer to me, I'd like to try it just for something different.

Maybe so, but it's better than a completely flat on road track with wooden jumps. The race was honestly boring to watch compared to other worlds. Didn't seem like it should be a World Championship race to me.

Edit: Meant to quote RaceToTheBottom above.
