So I'm building my kit and bought the Schelle rear hubs to go on it. The stock 10mm ballstud is 4mm too tall for the hub without using spacers. It looks like the B5m used 6mm ballstuds and those should fit better.
Just an FYI to anyone else looking to use these hubs on the SC5m. |
Thanks for the replies guys.. I have the 5mm cups on it now. And I changed the front springs to grey and the rear to xgear white.. Works great and I got the height down to 28 after running a few packs. I also have a bad push off power.. My batt is fully froward already. Any other suggestions? Is anyone using the reedy square pack? I have one and thought about trying it.

What I did on mine was put the 15g aluminum 30 degree front hinge block on and have all kinds of steering. Actually to much in some tight corners. I roll outta the throttle a little bit going into the corners and it just hangs right on line. If I lift completely off the front hooks very aggressively. Don't know if this would work in your situation but love how it makes mine react. Everything else is box stock setup using saddle packs but wanting to try a brick pack. Shorty made the front grip way to twitchy. Hope this helps.

Any one use AE 91383 Aluminum Arm mount (c)? How did you mount it?
Recessed on top side but a nut will not fit in, Part I have, not sure what this one I have fits. |
I'm building my kit and in the instructions it says install the diff with the head of the diff thrust bolt opposite of the spur side. does that mean you adjust the diff from the driverside of truck

The aluminum has no thread,
Searched on rc10.com, The part I have is not the one I need. RC10.com doesn't tell me what this one fits. |

If your using a three gear tranny than yes. If you have the kit 4 gear than you adjust on the other side.
SC5M Manual - Page 11 Gearbox Build - Bag F - FF - Step 2 "Install the Diff with the head of the Diff Thrust Bolt (#6573) facing the opposite side of the spur gear." |
I raced 2 times this weekend, had 3 right rear innner bearings go bad on me. Stock hubs with pucks. I have studied the movement over and over and i dont see anything binding at all.
Any thoughts? |
