Default Spring Rate Comparisons

Does anyone know the comparable spring rates on the Kyosho springs vs. the new associated ones. The new AE springs are out of stock and I'm looking to run a little stiffer spring in the front on my SC5M. I've read a few people are running the Kyosho's but I haven't seen anything to get an idea on the rates.

Ran mine for the first time on Saturday at the LSRCC Dog Days Of Summer race in Proctor Minnesota. Track is a big, outdoor, low/medium grip track. Truck was awesome box stock and I managed a TQ and win in open 2wd short course. Very happy with the truck so far.

Anybody else not a fan of the new springs?

I am gonna try some of the older ones tomorrow just because I have them laying around, but my truck seems "bouncy" compared to my T5M. Almost as though the movement of the springs is not as fluid.

If I have time I'm going to put my front springs on my spring dyno and compare to Kyosho springs. I think I need a step stiffer.....either that or much thicker oil. I had to use 1.6 2 hole pistons because they don't have 1.5s. I dunno. The truck is pretty badass other than that.

So far the build has been good... all parts in the right bags, but I was missing one of the rear arm spacers. I'm getting ready to finish the build tonight with the shocks... anyone doing anything other than box stock? After reading this thread it seems the front end needs a stiffer solution...

I am wanting to get one of these. I currently have 2 Losi 22sct 2.0. I dont want to have to buy all new wheels/tires. What could I do so I use the wheels I have now.
thanks

my understanding is. SCT wheels are zero offset and the AE wheels are +1mm offset. "If" that is the case, you could use a 1mm wider hex, shim the hexes out 1mm or use AVID CF Hex spacers. I would confirm those offsets, as I am not an SC offset expert. Just going off what I recall from my SCTE days

Default first impressions...

And only my opinion.

Driven the SC6, 22SCT 2.0, SC10.2 and I think the latest that Durango offers...

SC5M hands down awesome truck.
