Can someone tell / measure what the default offsets are for the hexes? My thought was to use JC b5/b5m rear hexes all the way around which are 6mm. Thanks!

6mm front 8.5mm rear hex. the rear axles thinker than the original b5 axle. I dont think JC has the new hexes out yet.

6mm front and 8.5mm rear

I measured 2 sets of my SC10 rear hexes the other day and they are 8.81mm roughly so if you have some of those they will be just fine for using on the rear of you SC5M.

Agree but I seen it happen 3 separate times in one night on different T5s. None of them had loctite on. I assumed everyone put it there... Oh yeah you better knock on wood

The issue with loctite is, "if" the stud breaks, very hard to get out. That being said, I have never broken a stud on any of my 5 series cars. And last weekend, I air it out over a triple and landed on the left 2 wheels at a 45 deg plus angle. If i had alum hubs, I surely would have had to spend some money. That being said, I was surprised my hard hubs didnt break, or a stud. The SC is bigger and way heavier. I expect I will be breaking studs off.

Thanks! So I guess its safe to order the JC rear B5 hex for the front sc5m hex. I don't see how it is thicker if the bearing sizes are the same in the rear hubs?

I have no idea on the thickness of the front Hex axles. I think, you would be fine doing that. But, I cant say for certain. The ID of the front and rear bearings is 5mm. But the rear axles used to taper down more. Now they taper down less or not at all. I will see tonight. I do not know what AE is doing with the truck and SC front FT axles

I stand corrected. Explains why a friend of mie had an issue on his B5M the other night buying hexes at the hobby shop that did not fit.

Mine should be here tomorrow! Going to run a MMP with a Reedy 7.5 and a Savox 1258TG. Can anyone elaborate on why people boil their arms? And the T5M hardened arms should fit right?

Ran the truck in a club race last night and it felt really good.

The kit setup feels pretty good but, as with the T5m, the dimensions in the manual are very off...They listed 11mm preload on the shocks which made my ride height over 36mm...once I fixed the ride height and cambers and threw it on the track it felt planted and smooth. I was instantly able throw the truck through our high speed sweeper into a jump. This section is particularly hard for rear motor vehicles to handle, they simply cant put the power down around the sweeper to clear the jump. The SC5m was amazing there.

I was running a borrowed body and wheels/tires. Once I get the correct body and some new clay electrons, its gonna feel even better

I suggest not running the B5 hexes. The B5 rear hex is 7mm, you have to get the right ones because AE has upgraded the rear cva axle and the original hexes and the JC's as well will not work.

The only current clamping hexes available that will work for his truck in the rear are the AE 8.5mm. The 6mm claiming hexes for the front aren't quite out yet.
