I am running 26/24mm and recently had another very consistent SC5m driver run my bus around the track with comments of "wow, holy shit, and it's dialed for sure." I say, go low, and we will see lower ride heights with SCT. Got to setup your shocks for less droop / limiters. Check out cav's srs setup here - low 25/23 ride height, shock setup is well biased, front camber: -2*, rear 0*. setup to be low and rotate, driving the bus hard around a tight, high grip clay track. pretty cool!

What are you guys doing to help with the chassis roll? My track is high bite clay and I've got Cav's SRS setup on it but the truck still has a ton of roll. I did make it better by adding the 3rd hole in the front arm. This helped a lot but the truck is still a handful at times. I've heard some adding B5m rear shocks and tower but I figured that is just for carpet.
I have thought about adding the front sway bar that walliebuilds offers.

99% sure my SC5M showed up today. My wife received a package from Tower today and the only thing I put on my Christmas list from Tower was the SC5M. So now I can start ordering my hop up parts to be ready for my Christmas day build. Already ordered parts for 3 gear tranny, grey front springs, Lunsford turnbuckles, 7.5 t motor, 8.5mm clamping hex's, front axle to go with 8.5mm hex, hard f/r a arms, under battery chassis weights, front bulkhead weight, and 3 sets of 0 offset wheels. Tires and electrics are on MIL Christmas list. What else do you guys recommend to make the SC5M fast? What MAH batt do you recommend to make a 10min main? From what I have read here, I'm going with shorty packs.

Shoot, you probably wanted to get the +3 offset rims. I've been running SMC batteries for a long time now and their shorties should easily make 10 minutes. I would guess that any decent battery over 4000 mAh should make 10 minutes. If you race outdoors on a bit lower grip any time during the year you might want the brass C mount as well.

For batteries, I have been using the Orion 4500mah carbon pro batteries. I got them before last winter indoor season and used them every weekend in 2wd buggy/4wd buggy/SCT and had them storage charged all summer and they charged right up and have been working 100% so far this winter season. I personally had a bad experience with 2 SMC batteries so I can't really say that I would recommend them, however, that was two years ago and others seem to be having good luck with them so maybe its not an issue.

I am running SMC Race Formula Extreme 4000mah shorties in my SC. I have had them for about a year now and they are working great. I get around 15mins out of them running 13.5t

BDS I went with the 0 offset because I am putting the 8.5mm hexes on. From what I have read you need the +3 offset with stock hexes, but 0 with the 8.5mm hexes.
I have 3 of the SMC battery's (5000mah) for my little girls RTR SC10, and they last about 20mins with the 3300KV motor. Just wanted to make sure 5000MAH would make it with the bigger motor. Thank you all for the Batt info, I run Pro Match in my RC8B3E/RC8T3E and they work great.Prob going to go with Pro Match shorty 100C 5000MAH then.
MXnickj I will try the truck without any font weights and see how it works. Thank you.
